I started in data before 'data strategy' was a job title. Fifteen years ago, I was the person in the room explaining to executives why their numbers didn't add up, and building the systems that fixed it. That hasn't changed. What's changed is the scale.

I founded Onyx Data with a conviction that most consultancies get the sequence wrong: they build first and govern later. We reverse it. Governance first, outcomes before pipelines, measured like a product. That methodology supports governed delivery across sectors including maritime operations and financial reporting.

I write for Forbes because I believe the people making AI decisions at board level deserve honest frameworks, not hype. I study at Oxford because I believe governance should be informed by academic rigour rather than vendor marketing. And I built FabOps because I got tired of seeing the same governance gaps in every Fabric deployment I walked into.
